Chairman of Ibb Writers’ Union Abdul Ilah Al-Baadani dies

Writer and activist Abdul-Ilah Al-Baadani, head of the Union of Yemeni Authors and Writers in Ibb Governorate, died after a life full of cultural gifts and national struggle.

Al-Baadani is considered one of the most prominent literary figures in Ibb Governorate, as he played an active role in enriching the cultural scene and, through his position in the union, contributed to supporting the literary movement, nurturing talents and defending national issues and cultural rights in the extremely complex circumstances that the country is going through.

A number of intellectuals and writers mourned him and expressed deep sadness over his loss, praising his struggle and literary career, as well as his principled stances on the nation’s problems.
